I see shadow of mine

and it's so tiny

and felt so muddy

everything seems so different

when you're sick

and endlessly seeking for medication

and from there, knowing something new

sick, should we be glad or not?

for knowing that ,

we were still alive

and those viruses were still able to attack us.

好久好久, 欢笑声,

那种感觉,好久没出现了.

长大了, 大家的大家,

Ancient Imperial Language of China – 2,000 Years Ago

How Did it Sound Like? (Mind you, it's no way similar to Mandarin)
Has this Ancient Language Survived?
Who Speaks it Today?

You'll be Surprised. You have heard it. You, your parents, or grandparents may still be speaking this ancient, archaic language!

Yes, it's HOKKIEN (Fujian/Minnan Hua)

Hokkien is:

1. The surviving language of the Tang Dynasty (618-907AD), China 's Golden Age of Culture.

Note: The Hokkien we hear today may have "evolved" from its original form 2,000 years ago, but it still retains the main elements of the Tang Dynasty Language.

2. Hokkiens are the surviving descendants of the Tang Dynasty -- When the Tang Dynasty collapsed, the people of the Tang Dynasty fled South and sought refuge in the Hokkien ( Fujian ) province. Hence, Hokkien called themselves Tng-lang (Tang Ren or People of the Tang Dynasty) instead of Hua Lang (Hua Ren).

3. Hokkien has 8 tones instead of Mandarin's 4. Linguists claim that ancient languages tend to have more complex tones.

4. Hokkien retains the ancient Chinese pronunciation of "K-sounding" endings (for in stance, Hak Seng (student), Tua Ok (university), Thak Chek (read a book/study) -- the "k" sounding ending is not found in Mandarin.

5. The collection of the famous "Three Hundred Tang Dynasty Poems" sound better when recited in Hokkien/Teochew if compared to Mandarin.

6. Consider this for a moment: Today, the Hokkien Nam Yim Ochestral performance still has its roots in ancient Tang dynasty music. Here's the proof: The formation of today Nam Yim ensemble is typically seen in ancient Tang dynasty paintings of musicians.

More Astonishingly:
Although not genetically-related, Hokkiens, Koreans and Japanese share many similar words (which are different from Mandarin).

That's because Hokkien was the official language of the powerful Tang Dynasty whose influence and language spread to Japan and Korea (just like Latin – where many words were borrowed by the English, French, Italian, etc). Here are just a few words in Hokkien, Japanese & Korean for your comparison:

1. A Northern Chinese dialect (heavily influenced by non Han Chinese) that was elevated to the status of National Language by Sun Yat Sen for the sake of China’s national unity.

I watched thousands of human being within my short period of life and some really made me having fun and laughing hard. I enjoyed what they had shown me and what they had taught me.

I learned to be thoughtful throughout my life, and being an observant person for not doing some idiotic mistakes though mistakes were often made. It's some kind of learning process but not with the dumb mistakes being made.

Everyone were born equally and would enjoy the heavenly goodness offered by our mother earth. Though some might not have a perfect body structures as other does but they were blessed with something else. One might be blessed with high intelligence, but ending up meeting the creator faster than every because of some unknown stresses from inside out.

Most of the human being were made equally and balanced either mentally or physically. Somehow, some human being tend to use their thought the wrong way out and there would be some jokes around for others to enjoy. While some learned the hard away to be with life.

Being treated unfairly seems to be an upset news, but it's not a true message that my Lord brought from the heavenly earth to us. God sent them to us just for training purposes where we need to be better so that we can be with Him no matter where we're. I thank God for everything He had done for me and for anyone who had taught me something in somewhere or somehow rather.

Ambition...
Seems to be so ambitious...
Dream of one and flow,
From what and where I wanted to,
Making me who I'm now,
are those who inspired me well,
It's totally different from what I see and what I'm doing.

I want to be one who can change the world,
by passing down what I had learned and what they should be learning,
so that This World, can be a better one.

Passion from theirs, had influence me to be who I'm today.
I'm no one if not because of Them.
I cried before, not because I'm touched or being down and sad.
But it's what They had passed down to me.
Not only the precious wealth They had taught me.
It's the morale and what a true human should be.

Regretted and awoken from these terrified nightmare,
I thank all for making me a better man,
And I really hope I could realize all these when I were younger,

"待业"老师之人生

突然觉得,一年,三年的学历..都会好过5年半的. 老师的老板不够钱用是吗? 要我借你吗?

"待业"老师还得当临教才能当真正的老师.也不知道是哪位仁兄发表的.只知道是从报章的来的消息.老实说,我真的可"爱死"这些所谓的大人物,什么教育局,什么的要发布文凭的...? 我也搞不懂, 还有我两千余位战友们也不明白.应该是一个马来西亚的子民, 也在晕晕的,不知道发生了什么事.

热诚, 我有..多的是, 但是渐渐的消失. 怪的,也不能怪老师的老板, 他是无辜的.他为了"待业"老师的5年半课程辛苦了好久好久好久.我只能告诉老师的老板.我谢谢您的关怀备至, 要你老人家到处去东奔西跑,左抄右抄的,才能给"待业"老师一本"完美无缺"的复印课本,也完美的结合了1个马来西亚的特征 --"五颜六色,应有尽有".好听吗? 谁都喜欢听好听的话,但往往就是相反的事实."待业"老师的课本,就连一个小学生的课本都更好.没关系,老师的老板开心就好.

有位学生问过我,"老师老师,你在那里读书啊?" 我回答,老师的学校. 学生又问我, 那老师的学校一定很好的咯,好过学校几万倍. 当时,我不知道该如何回答他. 要不就告诉他事实; 要不就不要破坏春秋美梦. 这感觉不好受,毕竟为人师表撒谎简直就是罪恶. 我唯有选择委屈的微笑,点点我的头说: "你真聪明!" 我维护了老师老板的面子,但出卖了自己对教育的诚恳,欺骗了那无辜小孩的心灵. 我有着无尽的无奈,我又能如何? 我没那种能力去改变事实.感觉到微小的自己,根本不能改变这残酷的事实. 无奈阿..

对了! 老师的老板. 你老人家给了我们家用. 我们都很开心, 以为能有个更好的环境来学习来教导吾国后代.但是5年半了, 唯有一个地方保留着-- 博物馆级的课堂. 课堂? 用课室来形容会比较体贴. 倒不如说,比小学课室来的更"完美"及"多元化". 没有一间课室设备是完善的. 就读的老师们有时还得偷偷摸摸的到隔壁偷拿桌椅. 原来老师的老板要我们这些就读的老师把这种讯息传达给下一代.也难怪社会越来越"安全". 那就要谢谢老师的老板哦!

考试是考验自己的能力. 但在老师的学校, 灌输着一种很强烈的概念-- 合作精神. 往往在考试期间, 这种精神就可以从这些为人师表的就读老师涌出来. 就好像童谣唱着的一般-- "让我们抄在一起,在一起,在一起.让我们抄在一起,考试死不去." 还有就是老师的老师,见到了也盖着眼睛. 时辰高啊, 没看到. 这样的就让他们毕业了...! 恭喜恭喜!

恭喜恭喜? 到头来还是等到像阿公一样, 喜讯全无. 人生犹如杯茶,苦中带甘,甘中带苦. 回头望一望, 才知道自己比起那些没得到此机会来就读的朋友们来的幸福. 所以呢, "待业"老师该惜福!

＂待业＂的老师们，在业的老师们．．．我敬爱的老师们

看了那么多的报道,才知道马来西亚当老师,比当劳工还差.待遇像屁一样.工钱那么"高".难怪每位老师都去办补习班.也让我觉得,别的行业苦,也没当老师的苦.老师的老板把你们当作奴,但为了孩子的未来.我放弃了别的行业,投入这伟大的行业.

一个把握树立成人的行业.我感激我的老师们,辛苦的把我栽培.也要向他们说对不起,因为我那么久以来上伤了你们的心,气死了你们.但我了解到,你们骂我,打我是为我好.一直告诉我要自爱.

我醒了..我来接你们的棒,来教导下一代的"我". 我哭了,不是因为老师的老板把我们当作奴.而是我为你们伤心.你们的老板不珍惜你们的贡献.更懊恼的,就是连我们要继续你们的使命,偏偏被老板打垮了.我告诉自己,没事的.别人问起,我也告诉他们,没事的.等着等着.我觉得总和这几天的天气一样.不是乌漆漆的,就是倾盆大雨.但我还是希望前辈/古人曰得对: 雨后天晴.

我也谢谢老师的老板,给我这样的一个机会来训练我耐性,让我能在教育后代时,不失去理性. 我也更要谢谢老师的老板, 让我有机会到外打工,当个"电线佬". 吃一吃苦, 才会知道当老师,不会比别的行业苦.也让我有机会学习有关生活技能,好让我能为下一代传播更丰富的教学和知识. 渐渐的,我也得知2,000名的"待业"老师们,都开始在外学习"额外的知识"和为自己的肚子做好打算.

最近,某某大人物,和某某"帮助老师们"的总会也忙起来了.一会儿,就有人写'情信',一会儿,就有人"煲电话粥". 想必他们一定很开心的.难得有人来通信和谈天. 他们总会说到关于他们的朋友, 还觉得我们这些'待业'老师没资格...结论就是,想我们听一听张学友大哥的歌. ---- >"http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v2El6k-mGkw".

谢谢你让我等了又等.我学习了很多东西,也让我周围的人更关心我-- "拿到信了没有?".

As years passed by, we grow and laugh and smile and cry and fond with each other. How long will we be together?

As what had the God said, that happiness only comes awhile and so do sadness will stay not forever.

And if we know that these moment don't stay for eternity. Why do we still not be with each other when we know the truth? We don't have much time with each other now.

Aiming forever, seems to be impossible for anyone to achieve. But at least we had the memories that bond all of us together.

Every time that I'm not happy. I think and think, what could have I done, and what I had understand for this long.

Whether I really understand what God had taught me. How should I bring myself into this world. What's the role I should be in this sinful world. I pray to you, and I know you supply me with all the power and bless me without leaving anything to yourself.

I seek refuge from you, for facing whatever come to me every single minute and second within my life.

Every now and then, someone stop walking side by side with me. They went to find you, my lord. Had you seen them walking with you? Please let me know that I misses them very much.

I learned that when they leave me, I shouldn't be worry nor sad as they will always be with you. They will always be with you, as if you were be with me. I know they are still be me, although it's not physically, but spiritually, it's.

Life still need to go on, even if they were not with me. Some others that might left me, whom will go to others place to do something for someone. But I will never forget who you're that had been with me all along this time.

Early in the morning, I woke up at 6.57am but before the alarm could wake me up, My body alarm already wake me up at 6.56am and it's normal for me to experience these phenomena. I would turn around on my bed, twisting and turning really make me feel good in the morning.

Second thing would be texting someone who I cared about and walk towards wooden door and take a long deep breathe before carrying my Ipod into the loo and read on some news on Thestar, of course brushing my teeth and taking a bath which steamed up my day.

Once coming out from the bathroom, it's 7.15am which means 5 minutes before Potek will come over. So, turning myself into formal suit man while refilling my water tumbler. At 7.20am, he's already outside my house, calling me out and telling me that he would go to the college first. After he went off, I continued to get myself ready and ride towards the market to get some breakfast.

When I reached the market, monk wasnt there yet and so I walk into the market to seek for some food. I noticed that not much option for me to choose and at least I bought 2 yam cake, a yam puff, an egg tart and 5 sushi roll 'dim sum'. Before going off, I gave some food to the monk and chit-chatted with Ah Tee for 5 minutes and he told me that he will be leaving to Thailand today instead of tomorrow as what he had scheduled.

Nothing much happened during the way to college, just that the sky's clear and wonderful. I noticed that the sky within the few days are so pleasurable.

Upon reaching the college after I parked my bike. I was so bored to carry my heavy bag to climb three stories high just to reach my classroom. Nothing much happened than one of my classmate is sweeping the floor and throwing rubbish into the big black rubbish bin.

Phew, the goes my burden on my shoulder after I put away my huge bag and started to take out my breakfast and chew them hard! 1 dim sum + a piece of yam cake before Mdm Usha came into the class. Poor NPL had to carry heavy laptop and other bags too...

Presentation seems to be bored but discussion had stimulated most of my friends in the class where they started to defend themselves and ended up being wonderful without much argument between both parties. Well, I felt my presentation was a failure though, but who cares? haha~

Recess time where I had continued my second round of breakfast where NPL bought me a pack of fried rice, a pack of nasi lemak plus some banana cekodok. NICEEEEEE ~ *eat eat eat* *fat fat fat*

After eating, I was wondering around the class, lurking at each of every corner lending others my Ipod and playing along with them. Oh yeah, yongrin, lao koid and ah yow + me are having fun with the ANGRY BIRD application on my Ipod. Another of my concern will be changing Thai currency as I will be going to Hatyai next Friday! Hurray!

11.30am, Mr. Lau entered class and asked if we had any question on the research. I cleared my doubt on my research paper by asking him some of the detail and after that I head on to the library to settle my action research (interview transcription). I saw so many of my classmates photocopying... and what am I doing?

yong rin told me that he had not do any of his work and so do I. We chit chat around while waited for the time to get passed. I asked tai lou to come over too after noticing him while he was walking around. I asked him whether he will go for lunch and he said in 5 minutes time. Thus, I informed NPL that I'm going for my lunch.

My class ended at 1.30pm, but we rushed out before that and the guard let us go... Phewwww...

My lunch was the same again- Chicken rice. I tried to cut down my food intake by not ordering extra rice. Nothing much happened during that time but we discussed about the currency AGAIN. Oh, the drink I took was double apple juice. However, I don't feel like it's double.

After reached college after my lunch, I treated myself a stick of Choki-choki on the way walking to computer lab. Well, I do felt that the computer lab had NO QC at all. When will my college ever upgrade the internal structure than the external one? Seems like it will not happened in 20 years time.

I hate myself during this hour for being a emo bastard and hurt someone. Shame on you. Unit planning and everything seems so confusing and I do think that it's kind of bullshit to do this thing which MIGHT NOT BE related to my future undertaking.

Time to go back where I took my bath and said sorry to NPL for being a rude idiot and started to write this passage but when I written half way, I dozed off and wake up at nearly 7pm which I had a dinner with my colleagues in QE2 at Penang Island. I took my bath and get prepared.
My attire? Everything in white where I wore my new white trousers.

During the journey, I was amazed by the road where there are so little cars and other vehicles as they had their fasting period.
We uses ferry service to go over the Island which cost us RM7.70 and about 17 minutes to reach. Upon reaching QE2, we went to the wrong place at first before we reached the correct sides with all my colleagues waiting for us.

I was impressed by the design of the restaurant but soon after I read the menu, I was stunned by the price which was not quite acceptable for me. I chose Chicken Martini which cost RM42.00 while NPL chose some classical pasta at RM18.00-ish. We waited for so long before the dishes reached. Oh yeah, Birthday girl get a bunch of flower from her BF..

About the food.. 5/10 for me, while environment will be 8.5/10. After that? Hardcore photographing session while chit chatting with my colleague again. wei jin told me he wished to have a ship that can accumulate 10+ people on the deck and i told him that how about few hundred people on the deck enjoying. He was in shock and told me, SIAO AH.. and I told him, the ferry :D and lots more of stories going around.

12 midnight, all of us went back home and I followed Kaisheng's car to go home. It's raining while going back home. Once I reached home, I phoned my Mummy who had missed call me. She told me that she had came from cruise and enjoyed herself while Daddy too. Then I msn with NPL and bathed. At last, continue this dairy till now.. 2.15am.. good nite raymond!

潮州话 Teochew dialect

I was into learning some Teochew dialect recently, therefore I searched through the net and find some interesting thing to share.

"Due to geographical isolation from Fujian and influences from Cantonese and the later Hakka, Teochew evolved into a separate language."

Teochew is a member of the Southern Min group in Sino-Tibetan family. It is a dialect spoken in the Chaoshan area, in southeastern Guangdong

Languages in contact

This refers to Chaozhou, which is the variety of Teochew spoken in the People's Republic of China.

Putonghua

Chaozhou children are introduced to Putonghua as early as in kindergarten; however, Chaozhou remains the primary medium of instruction. In the early years of primary education, Putonghua then becomes the sole language of instruction, although students typically continue to talk one another in Chaozhou. Putonghua is widely understood, however minimally, by most younger Chaozhou speakers, but the elderly usually do not speak Putonghua since, in their times, teaching was done in the local vernacular.

Chaozhou accent in Putonghua

Native Chaozhou speakers find the neutral tone in Putonghua hardest to master. Chaozhou has lost the alveolar nasal ending [-n] and so the people often replace the sound in Putonghua with the velar nasal [-ŋ]. None of the southern Min dialects has a front rounded vowel, therefore a typical Chaozhou accent supplants the unrounded counterpart [i] for [y]. Chaozhou, like its ancient ancestor, lacks labio-dentals; people therefore substitute [h] or [hu] for [f] when they speak Putonghua. Chaozhou does not have any of the retroflex consonants in the northern dialects, so they say [ts], [tsʰ], [s], and [z] instead of [tʂ], [tʂʰ], [ʂ] and [ʐ].

Hakka

Since Chao'an, Raoping and Jieyang border the Hakka-speaking region in the north, some people in these regions speak Hakka, though they can usually speak Chaozhou as well. Chaozhou people have historically had a great deal of contact with the Hakka people, but, interestingly, the Hakka language has had little, if any, influence on Chaozhou. Similarly, in Dabu and Fengshun, where the Chaozhou- and Hakka-speaking regions meet, Chaozhou is also spoken although Hakka remains the primary language there.

Cantonese

Because of influences from Hong Kong soap operas and Guangdong provincial tele programmes, many young Chaoshan people can understand quite a lot of Standard Cantonese even if they cannot speak it.

Other languages

In the mountainous area of Fenghuang (鳳凰/凤凰), a non-Sinitic language, the She language, is spoken by a few hundred aboriginal She people (畲). It belongs to the Hmong-Mien language family.

Pronouns

The personal pronouns in Teochew, like in other Sinitic languages, do not show case marking, therefore 我 [ua] means both I and me and 伊人 [i naŋ] means they and them. The southern Min dialects, like some northern dialects, have a distinction between an inclusive and exclusive we, meaning that when the addressee is being included, the inclusive pronoun 俺 [naŋ] would be used, otherwise 阮 [ŋ]. No other southern Chinese language, such as Cantonese or Hakka, has this distinction.

We meet all sorts of human being, from our family members, relatives, to our friends. Not only that, we're surrounded by animals and plants. There are some good and bad ones.

For the good one, we try to maintain it and hope that it will last forever. Where else for the bad ones, we try to perish and banish it, hope that it won't ever come to you again.

Sometimes, life is always joking with us. The good one always disappear fast enough before we could actually get a hand on it. While the bad one always roaming within our self as if it's integrated in our body.

It's something very funny, where human always blame others without actually looking at oneself.
Some people are really bad with their own attitude and yet they blame others for being an idiot when they did something the same to others.

Why can the human be so funny?
Why is LOVE blind?
There are a lot of guy and lady around the world and why the hell, some of the human are not able to choose their partner in term of their attitude, cleanliness and so on...

While some others, dare not to confess their feeling and giving tons of excuses just because they scare of the fact that they will get rejected?

Why some of the people are so idiot that they eventually tried to make up non-sense story when they could did it but are lazy to do?

Why some idiots tend to be so lazy to do something that should be done and bonded to their responsible but make it like they are right. They didn't even show concern and act like they don't know anything. Wow!

Why do human need to cover themselves with all sorts of markup, wash and clean their face with whatever kind of beauty products but ending up fail to cleanse their attitude and heart?
Then what is the use of those products?
Are human actually forgotten what is the beauty that one human being should have?
It's the inner beauty, not the outer one.
So why bother buying thousand or hundred of ringgit worth of items to clean your ass face but fail to realize that your biggest mistake that should be cleanse is your inner beauty ?

You maybe pretty on your appearance, but if you have lousy inner beauty, sooner or later, you will rot as your outer beauty will fade as age coming by.
However you inner beauty doesn't fade at all.

Life it's, and human are still so ignorant that they look for the temporary beauty but not the eternal one...

It was a busy morning, about 8:30, when an elderly gentleman in his 80's
arrived to have stitches removed from his thumb. He said he was in a hurry
as he had an appointment at 9:00 am.*

I took his vital signs and had him take a seat, knowing it would be over

watch and decided, since I was not busy with another patient, I would
evaluate his wound. On exam, it was well healed, so I talked to one of the

What is Gardasil?

Gardasil is the first cervical cancer vaccine. It targets four strains of the human papillomavirus (HPV), which are linked to many, but not all, cervical cancers and genital warts. The vaccine is administered in three doses over a six-month period. Gardasil is manufactured by Merck & Co, and was approved in June 2006 for girls and women ages nine to 26.

Since its approval, over 26 million doses of the vaccine have been given worldwide, with 16 million in the United States.

Possible Side Effects of Receiving the Gardasil Vaccine

Seek immediate medical attention if you develop any of the following symptoms of an allergic reaction to Gardasil:

Hives
Difficulty breathing
Swelling of the tongue, lips, face, or throat

Other serious side effects may include:

Feeling faint or dizzy
Pain, itching, or redness at the injection site

Gardasil has been under scrutiny after news headlines featured reports of serious, sometimes fatal, side effects in patients who received the vaccination.

Many feel Gardasil vaccine injury is psychosematic reactions, many say the reactions are normal and not to be worried about, and the majority deny that the incident had anything to do with the vaccines. For instance, many girls have died from blood clotting within hours of receiving this vaccine, but they are dismissed as coincidental. If every doctor reported every reaction as they are supposed to, then we could get real figures, and girls all dying shortly after a vaccine with blood clotting or heart failure, suddenly would not appear so coincidental. Many of the reported reactions include paralysis, Bells Palsy, Guillain-Barre Syndrome, and seizures.

Lord Buddha taught me a lot of things, where i don't eventually learned from somewhere else.

1. I learn how to be patient when I faced challenge on things that I can't hold on. Yea, I really got patient after that.

2. I learn how to be more open. I always think the bad way instead of the positive one. Slowly I understand the law of nature and observe the heart of mine and others.

3. Money is less important than any other things( friendship, family, love, just anything) plus, money is actually a symbolic.

During the time before there's any currency, human tend to use items to exchange for another items. That should be the real meaning behind it.
Do you think if that you're rich and you can live happily ever after? Think second time by looking at the paper. How many rich person got into shit trouble with robbery, kidnapping etc?
If you're rich, you need to worry about how to store you money, how to maintain it etc etc.

WOW! I rather to be shitty below average man where i can live in the style I wanted to. I might enjoy less, but I will do it another way to enjoy myself. The poor pupils way.

4.I learn to be satisfied with anything I had now. If you can't satisfied with what you have now, then you will never be happy with what you get later...

When you have the desire for something but can't get it, you will feel sad, suffer etc.
When you are satisfied with what you have, you felt happy and glad.

Why wanna be sad/ suffer when you can choose to be happy?

5. The world is round, so does our karma..

When you create happiness to others, you will feel happy too. ( try it to believe, might take a long time to get the effect.)
When you create anger with others, you know what shit stuff will happened.
When you give something to others, they will reply you with something ( but remember don't always think that others will reply you with something. give with your heart, not your desire.)
